You can turn the Galaxy Note 9's screen on without touching it

It often happens that we want to quickly cheque notifications on our phone but tin't touch it considering our hands are dirty. Whether you lot're going to town on a bucket of chicken wings or kneading fresh pasta, it's possible to turn on the Galaxy Note ix's screen without having to touch it.
This is a derivative of the quondam Quick Glance feature that Samsung launched with the Galaxy Notation 2. The characteristic is just equally useful and definitely comes in handy if you continue the E'er On Display disabled.

Step ane: Open up the Settings app and enter the Accessibility card
Stride 2: Tap on Dexterity and interaction followed by Like shooting fish in a barrel screen turn on
Pace 3: Turn the toggle ON. An animation will show how this feature works
When the feature is enabled, you can movement your hand to a higher place the sensor as long equally the telephone is on a stable surface with the screen facing up. Moving your manus above the sensor will not just turn on the screen without you having to touch it only will also positively make yous feel like a Jedi.
The display will automatically switch on whenever this gesture is repeated allowing you to apace bank check notifications without having to touch it. This feature isn't just limited to the Milky way Notation 9. It's also available on the Galaxy Annotation 8 and Galaxy S serial going as far back as the Galaxy S6.
